water supply welfare of weaker sections and women and child development .Our government proposes to spend Rs *250 crore in the kandi areas in the four years period from various
"infrastructure" works like up-gradation of power road connectivity health infrastructure water supply (sanitation) soil conservation etc. The government gives high @priotity to the use of New and Renewable sources of "Energy"
and aims to have further capacity addition of 2400 MW by the year 2022% under the (NRSE) policy of 2012%. Currently around 590 MW of energy is generated from these sources
and we hope to add another *2.50 (MW) of solar power by {March} 2015 projects for which have already been allotted and are under executive. The State is also promoting solar
rooftop projects in a big way in the current year to add to the pool of energy! generated from non-conventional sources. The "Government" is conscious of preserving our environment and is
taking steps to use [biomass for power] generation as also promoting its use in the farm and non-farm sectors On a micro level the @Punjab Energy Development Agency is implementing successfully
Biogas Development Solar water heating programme under which morethan 15000 biogas plants and 27% lac liter per day solar water heating systems have been installed in {the state} With a view
to provide to more sports facilities a comprehensive/ sports policy has been implemented As per this sports policy/ the cash Incentives provide to the gold medallists of Olympics Asian and Commonwealth
Games have been increased t respectively. Significant enhancement has been made for silver and bronze medalists also .The Government has developed an Internatioal Standard Hockey Stadium at a Cost of Rs
